Back when I was a poor student struggling for a crust, I worked as a hired gun – a research assistant whose job it was to terrorise members of the public into participating in studies. One way I would do this was to offer them a bribe – a five-minute survey in return for either a Peanut Slab or a $1 scratch card. Do you feel lucky?
