Local psychologist re-elected to EFPA executive council

Bernard Caruana, president of the Malta Union of Professional Psychologists, has been re-elected in the executive council of the European Federation of Psychology Associations (EFPA).

The EFPA represents national psychology associations from 37 European countries (including all EU states) and about 300,000 psychologists. The executive council is composed of seven members elected by its member associations.

Mr Caruana has been active in the European Federation for the past nine years. Four years ago, he was elected for the first time on the executive council.

After completing his mandate, he was re-elected at the EFPA general assembly in Stockholm.

He obtained 79 out of 85 votes and was given a second mandate to serve as member of the executive council for the coming four years.
