Kutztown University mourns death of student

Kutztown University mourns the death of one of its students.

“The Kutztown University community is deeply saddened by the passing of Gregory Heifer, a psychology major from Spring Township,” wrote David Johson of KU Relations to The Kutztown Patriot. “Gregory was a valued member of our student body and will be deeply missed on campus. The thoughts of all KU students, faculty and staff are with the Heifer family at this time.”

Heifer was a commuter student and apparently collapsed at home and was taken to Reading Hospital where he passed away of natural causes. He was a 2007 graduate of Wilson High School and was majoring in psychology at KU.

Gregory H. Heifer, 24, of Spring Township, passed away Sept. 2, 2013 at 1:57 a.m. in Reading Hospital.

Born in West Reading he was the son of Grazyna H. (Draniewicz) Heifer with whom he last resided and the late David M. Heifer.

Gregory was a 2007 graduate of Wilson High School and was currently a student at Kutztown University majoring in Psychology and was employed part time at Zoup in Wyomissing. He was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church.
