Knox College senior Lauren Smith, recipient of the 2011 Student Laureate Award, is conducting research in clinical psychology and is looking for volunteers to interview for her project.

Smith, who is majoring in psychology and social service, is working on an extended independent research project through the college’s honors program.

A graduate of Illini West in Carthage, Smith’s project focuses on social change and how people’s lives are affected as they age or deal with a serious illness.
