Ron and Nancy Taylor of Westerville announce the engagement of their daughter, Emma, to Joseph Merry, son of James and Jill Merry of Newark.

The bride-to-be graduated from Westerville North High School in 2006, John Carroll University in 2010 and received a master's degree in school psychology from Ohio State University in 2011. She is pursuing a doctorate in school psychology at OSU.

Her fiance graduated from Newark Catholic High School in 2006 and John Carroll University in 2010. He is pursuing a doctorate in sociology at OSU.

The wedding will take place Dec. 15, 2012 in Columbus.
