ISTA releases first graduates

Luanda – The Higher Technical Institute of Angola (ISTA) Friday in Luanda released its first 192 graduates in the courses of engineering of telecommunications and energetic electronics, computing and computers, psychology of organisations and accounting and administration.

 
Speaking at the ceremony of hand-over of certificates to the graduates, ISTA principal, Manuel Arsénio, said the economic growth Angola has been recording of late compels the education institutions into adopting a new dynamics and sense of responsibility in the process of training.

He said such dynamics will enable the trainees from Angolan institutions to stand on equal terms with those trained abroad, both locals and foreigners who choose to come and work in the country.

The official on the occasion appealed to the newly elected power to maintain the higher education sub-system programme as a guarantee for the training of skilled manpower in various fields of knowledge, thus securing the basis for the country’s sustainable development.

 
On the other hand, he called on the graduates to show in practice the skills they gained during their training and serve as an incentive to the students who have chosen ISTA as a source of knowledge.

 
ISTA was established six years ago with 450 students in the courses of engineering of computing and computer, telecommunications and electronics, energetic, psychology of organisations, accounting and administration and law.

 
During the ceremony, 129 graduates received their certificates in the courses of engineering of computing and computers (27), psychology of organisations (14), telecommunication and electronics (39) and accounting and administration  (112).
