Hull fire player warning to Leicester City

Leicester City have been accused of deliberately trying to unsettle Hull's players by owner Assem Allam.

Vice-chairman Ehab Allam said they had warned City before the transfer window opened not to try to sign any of their players.

But City have so far made two unsuccessful bids of £1million and £1.5m for winger Cameron Stewart, and are believed to be interested in defender Jack Chester.

And Assem Allam accused Leicester of trying to "disturb the psychology" of Stewart.

"They know very well that the club is not desperate for £1m or £1.5m," he said.

"It has been done to try to disturb the psychology of the players, in my opinion."

Ehab Allam says the bids are not welcome and said they would not sell at any price.

"Nigel knows we are not in the market for selling our players," he said.

"We are just not interested, so it doesn't matter how much they offer, it won't make a difference as we are not selling.

"We are looking to build a team. We are looking to push for the play-offs and promotion, so we have no intention of selling at all."
