Guam - The University of Guam is extending professional and student support in the wake of the tragedy in Tumon earlier this week.

UOG Isa Psychological Services Center has a team of Clinical Psychology senior counselors, faculty and graduate students ready to provide Psychological First Aid to both the local community and to island visitors.

“Through Isa, UOG is offering free counseling services to those who have been affected by this tragic event,” said Dr. Iain Twaddle, Isa Director.

Other UOG programs such as International Tourism at the School of Business Public Administration have also reached out to volunteer students and faculty to help as additional manpower for relief efforts.

“Sometimes there is no satisfying explanation for tragedies like this, but through it, our island has come together to provide support,” said UOG President Dr. Robert Underwood. “As a member and a resource for our island community, the University will continue to extend our experts and capabilities to help in any way we can.”
