DALLAS, July 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Greenberg Traurig, LLP, an international law firm, is pleased to announce that John Huffman was appointed to Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists by Governor Rick Perry. Huffman is one of nine board members selected by the Governor to serve a six year term. The Board is required to include four licensed psychologists; two licensed psychological associates, and three public members.

The Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists regulates the practice of psychology in Texas. The mission of the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists is to protect the public by ensuring that psychological services are provided to the people of Texas by qualified and competent practitioners who adhere to established professional standards.
Huffman, an associate at the firm, focuses on health care law and has broad experience representing clients in the health care industry in a variety of areas, including transactional, litigation, and regulatory matters. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the American, Texas, and Dallas Bar associations and the American Health Lawyers Association. In addition, he is a member of the Texas AM University Mays Business School Young Former Students Advisory Council and a pro bono attorney for the American Bar Association Military Pro Bono Project. He is a co-founder and director of Healthy Foundations America, a nonprofit whose mission is to improve childhood health through media-based education strategies.
Huffman received a bachelor's degree from Texas AM University and a law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center.
