Grant helps expand UW mental health service

Domestic abuse victims in Wyoming will soon have more mental health care options available.
The Verizon Foundation has provided a $16,000 grant to the University of Wyoming College of Health Sciences' Center for Rural Health Research and Education.
The money will be used to expand an existing psychotherapy service provided by the UW Department of Psychology.
The service is provided by fully qualified students who are pursuing doctoral degrees in psychology and supervised by an associated professor.
Officials say the program benefits both the students and the clients.
