Free Lecture to Feature Psychologist Anne Clohessy – Twin Falls Times

KETCHUM | A free Brown Bag Lunch Lecture called "Impacts on Academic Learning" with Anne Clohessy will take place at noon Tuesday at the Sun Valley Center for the Arts. This discussion is co-sponsored by the Lee Pesky Learning Center in Boise.

The public is invited to bring a lunch to eat during this free presentation.

The presentation is part of The Center’s BIG IDEA multidisciplinary project 'The Brain.' Clohessy will discuss how we process information and what can affect student academic performance.

Clohessy, a licensed psychologist with more than 15 years, earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Oregon. She also trained in developmental- and neuro-psychology. As the clinical director of Lee Pesky Learning Center, Clohessy leads a team of evaluators and counselors. They work with students of all ages to help them understand their own learning needs and develop strategies for managing them, says a press release. She is also the parent of a student with processing difficulties, says a press release, giving her firsthand experience with the trials and triumphs of overcoming learning disabilities.
