A retired college president, two local executives and a psychologist and CEO who is an alumnus are the newest members of the board of trustees of Heidelberg University.
The board has appointed new trustees including Marsha S. Bordner, president emerita of Terra State Community College; Kris Klepper, president and CEO of Superior Distributing Co.; Terry W. Owen, Heidelberg class of 1963, corporate psychologist and CEO of the Personnel Research and Development Corp. in Chagrin Falls; and William "Bill" Reineke, president of Tiffin Ford Lincoln Inc.
"We are extremely pleased to share this exciting news with the higher education and business communities here in Tiffin and across Ohio," said Heidelberg President Robert H. Huntington. "All four of these outstanding individuals will add tremendous expertise and value to our board. I am grateful for their willingness to serve Heidelberg in this capacity."

The new trustees are scheduled to participate in an orientation session on campus and officially join the board for its October meetings. The chairman of the Heidelberg Trusteeship Committee, Wade Young, said he looks forward to the energy and expertise the new members will bring to the board.
"The Heidelberg University Board of Trustees is looking forward to working with these four individuals. They bring a great deal of experience in business, leadership and education to our governing board," Young said. "They join a board that is energized by the progress being made at Heidelberg and the bright future ahead."
Bordner has spent more than 35 years in higher education as a faculty member and administrator. She was elected president emerita of Terra after serving as president from 2003-12. Under her leadership, Terra experienced record high enrollment, renovation and construction of facilities and the development of several new academic programs. The college named its Arts and Health Technologies Center in her honor earlier this year.
Prior to her tenure at Terra, Bordner was an administrator in academic and student affairs, and a faculty member at Clark State Community College in Springfield. She received a doctorate in English from The Ohio State University in 1979, a master's degree in English from Bowling Green State University in 1974 and a bachelor's degree in English and German from BGSU in 1972. She maintains active membership in a number of local, higher education and community development committees and organizations. Also, she is a member of Rotary and her local American Cancer Society chapter.
Bordner is married to Harold Brown, a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel who flew P-51 Mustangs during World War II as a Tuskegee Airman. They live on Catawba Island.
When he joins the board, Klepper will follow in the footsteps of his father, Robert, who served on Heidelberg's board of trustees in the 1980s and early '90s. He is president and CEO of Superior Distributing Co., a beer distributing company based in Fostoria and previously owned by his father. He serves on the board of the Wholesale Beer and Wine Association of Ohio and is a member of the National Beer Wholesalers Association. Also, he serves on Alpha Capital Partners CEO Advisor Group.
A graduate of Calvert High School with a bachelor's degree in finance from Indiana University, Klepper is president of the board of Mercy Tiffin Hospital and has chaired its quality committee since 2009. He also is a member of the board of The Ritz Theatre and Patchworks House, and serves on the United Way's allocations committee and with the Betty Jane volunteers. He is the recipient of local awards, including the Mother Mary Bernadine McMullen Leadership Award from Mercy Hospital earlier this year, Tiffin Rotary's Service Above Self Award in 2006 and SIEDC's Lifetime Achievement Award this year. The company has received a number of industry awards as well.
Klepper and his wife, Shannon, are the parents of four children and live in McCutchenville. They are members of the Fellows Organization at Heidelberg and have supported several of the university's capital campaigns.
Owen, who graduated from Heidelberg in 1963, began his career as a social psychologist for the VA hospital in Danville, Ill. After completing his academic training, he joined Rohrer, Hibler and Replogle as a consultant and corporate psychologist, gaining broad experience in management evaluation and counseling. In 1971, he joined Personal Research and Development Corp. as a staff psychologist, consulting for a variety of organizations and industries as well as governmental and non-profit agencies. Following a series of promotions, Owen became PRADCO's president in 1981. In 2008, he became CEO and today, he remains actively involved in the company's activities. The company provides methods of evaluation and development for executives as well as products and services that improve employee performance.
Following graduation from Heidelberg, Owen received a master's degree in psychology from Bucknell University in 1965 and a doctorate in social psychology from the University of Illinois in 1969. He has been a longtime supporter of his alma mater as a member of the Presidential Fellows. Also, he is serving as co-chairman of the gift committee for his class's 50th reunion next June. Along with his wife, Edda, who also is a Heidelberg graduate, Owen has supported the university AIM Hei new student mentoring/advising program and other projects.
They are the parents of two children and six grandchildren, and make their home in Bentleyville.
Reineke is president and co-owner of Reineke Family Dealerships, Tiffin Ford-Lincoln Inc., a business his father established more than 50 years ago. The Tiffin dealership was founded in 1984, and since then, the company has added three others in Lima, Upper Sandusky and Findlay.
Reineke has held leadership positions with Rotary, the Chamber of Commerce and Tiffin Tomorrow. In 2010, he received the chamber's Outstanding Citizen Award and has twice chaired the chamber's board of directors, in 1988 and 2009. He served as Rotary's president from 2007-08, receiving the presidential citation for his service.
Also, he has served as a past campaign chairman and board member of the Tiffin-Seneca United Way and a volunteer and board member of Calvert Catholic Schools. He is a member of the National Automobile Dealers Association and the state organization as well. He is a longtime supporter of Heidelberg University, now serving on the Fellows Advisory Council and co-sponsoring The Patricia Adams Lecture Series.
Reineke is a graduate of St. Wendelin High School and received a bachelor's degree from Morehead State University in 1976. A resident of Tiffin, he is the father of two grown daughters.
