Figures reveal borough's mental health services as best in north west

MENTAL health services in the borough are the best in the north west, according to newly-published figures.

Primary Care Psychology Services (IAPT) Ashton, Leigh and Wigan has been rated as number one for supporting people to recover from conditions like depression and anxiety using talking therapies.

The figures from the Department of Health one in every two people who used the service during an eight-month period last year left completely free of any clinical symptoms.
