Faye Crosby wins Society of Justice Research Lifetime Achievement Award

Psychology professor and Cowell College Provost Faye Crosby will receive the 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Society of Justice Research.

The award is presented every two years "to honor distinguished lifetime contributions to the scientific study of justice and for efforts to advance justice as a field of study."

“This is a well-deserved recognition of her many career accomplishments and their impact,” said psychology department chair Campbell Leaper.

Crosby has been invited to deliver a Lifetime Award Winner address at the society's meeting next July at the University of Kent in Canterbury, England. She served as the group’s president in 2002-2004.

ISJR was founded in 1997 after a decade of discussions and conferences by academics in a variety of fields on the theme of social justice in human relations. ISJR consists of a network of scientists who work on justice-related issues. It represents many countries and a wide range of disciplines, including social psychology, sociology, business, political science, law-criminology, and economics among other areas.

Its aim is to advance justice research and allow international and interdisciplinary cooperation in justice theory and research. The group meets every two years.
