Dr. and Mrs. Alan Wasserstrum of Kinnelon are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Leah Anne Wasserstrum, to Dr. Ryan James McGuire, the son of Dr. and Mrs. Eugene McGuire of Allentown, Pa.

Leah graduated from Kinnelon High School in 2001 and received a B.A. in psychology from Bucknell University in 2005. She obtained her Ed.M. degree and national certification in school psychology in 2011 and will receive M.A. and M.Phil. degrees in October 2012. She is working towards obtaining her Ph.D. degree in school psychology from Columbia University in May 2013.

Ryan graduated from Parkland High School in 2001 and received his B.S. in biology from Bucknell University in 2005. He graduated from Temple University’s Kornberg School of Dentistry in 2009 and completed his residency in pediatric dentistry at University Hospital for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center, in May 2011. Ryan is currently working within his father’s private practice.

Leah and Ryan met on their first day at Bucknell University in August 2001. After more than a decade of friendship and six years of dating, Ryan proposed to Leah during a romantic picnic at the Eiffel Tower in Paris in July 2011.

A September 2012 wedding is planned.
