Tucson, AZ (PRWEB) November 15, 2013

In her new book, “Another Pair of Eyes: The gospels as seen from the perspective of the archetypes” (published by AuthorHouse), author Dolores Burkhard provides a new view on the gospels by combining the insights of scripture scholars and those of modern psychology.

Within the pages of “Another Pair of Eyes,” Burkhard comments on the Christian gospels of first century Israel and provides evidence for the Holy Spirit’s use of human qualities in the process of inspiration, basing her scriptural insights on psychologist Robert Moore’s works regarding the archetypes which are part of every human psyche.

An excerpt from “Another Pair of Eyes”:

“It was said of Teresa of Avila that she had wisdom, understanding and largeness of heart like the sand on the seashore. It seems to me that psychology can provide a few grains of those sands which make up the vast shore where the sea of divine reality meets our earthiness.”

It is Burkhard’s hope that her commentary will enhance reader’s appreciation for the gospels because of her unique perspective.
