Louisiana Tech University (www.latech.edu) seeks
applications and nominations for an experienced, dynamic leader to
serve as Dean of the College of Education. The College of
Education, which has received continuous NCATE accreditation since
1954, consists of three academic departments: Curriculum,
Instruction, and Leadership; Kinesiology; and Psychology and
Behavioral Sciences. The College serves a diverse student
population of approximately 3,000 students enrolled in 25 degree
programs including baccalaureate, master's, and doctoral degrees
(Ed.D. In Leadership, Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology, and PhD in
Industrial/ Organizational Psychology). Professional and outreach
activities are conducted through the Psychological Services Clinic;
Professional Development and Research Institute on Blindness;
Sci-TEC Education Center; and A.E. Phillips Laboratory
School.

Applicants or nominees must have an earned doctorate in a field
represented in the College; evidence of administrative leadership
and experience in higher education; a record of scholarly and
instructional accomplishment; and recent successful experience with
accreditation processes. Experience in fundraising and developing
public/private partnerships is preferred. The Dean, as chief
administrative officer of the College, provides leadership in
strategic planning; policy making; budgeting; faculty recruitment
and development; fundraising; student and alumni relationships; and
PK-12 partnerships.

Screening will begin October 15, 2012 and will
