Daniel Cook Receives Final Convocation Award at Hampden-Sydney College

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA (05/09/2013)(readMedia)-- At Final Convocation on April 25, Hampden-Sydney College senior Daniel Elias Cook received the Department of Psychology Award, presented by Dr. Jennifer E. Vitale, Elliott Associate Professor of Psychology. This award is given to the psychology major who exhibits outstanding scholastic achievement in his field.

A Patrick Henry Scholar, Daniel is a member of Circle K, the Baptist Collegiate Ministry, Young Life, and the honor society Psi Chi (psychology) A psychology major, Daniel graduated from Prince Edward County High School and is the son of Randall Kathleen Cook of Burkeville.

A private college for men, Hampden-Sydney is ranked in the top tier of liberal arts colleges by U.S. News World Report. The College is known for its liberal arts curriculum, the Honor Code which stresses individual and collective responsibility, and a focus on the education of young men.
