Western Connecticut Medical Group's Behavioral Medicine Specialist, Dr. Andrew Tucker, will present a program regarding "The Psychology of Weight Loss" on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at the Danbury Hospital Medical Arts Center located at 111 Osborne Street in Danbury. The program, hosted by the Danbury Hospital Diabetes Program, will take place in the second floor conference room at 7 p.m.

Making changes to one's lifestyle is not an easy thing to do. If it was, we wouldn't have an obesity epidemic in this country. "The Psychology of Weight Loss" program is open to anyone struggling with weight issues and/or chronic diseases such as diabetes. Attendees will learn how to manage their health in a practical manner with changes that will last a lifetime. The program will address:

About the Speaker

Dr. Andrew Tucker served as Director of the Behavioral Medicine Program for Western Connecticut Medical Group and was Administrative Director for the Danbury Hospital Sleep Disorders Center. After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Dr. Tucker received a doctoral degree in Clinical Health Psychology from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology of Yeshiva University. He acquired nearly 15 years of training and experience at the acclaimed Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Tucker has lectured extensively on behavioral medicine and sleep medicine and has been interviewed for ABC World News Tonight, Men's Health Magazine, and the New York Post. Dr. Tucker currently works in private practice in Sandy Hook, Connecticut.
