Cuero native makes President’s List

Monica Martinez Nicholas, of Cuero, was recently named to the President's List at Argosy University in Arizona for the Spring 2013 semester. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Arts in psychology with a concentration in substance abuse counseling and family counseling. President's List is the highest distinction for an undergraduate student. The student must be registered full-time, taking more than 12 hours while maintaining a 4.0 GPA the entire semester with superb attendance. In conjunction to her honors received, Nicholas has also been selected for the Argosy Honor Society of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars for being in the top 5 percent of her class, along with being selected to the Student Advisory Board, the Clinical Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Board and the Psychology Club. She is also a proud member of Chi Sigma Iota and Psi Gamma Phi. She is scheduled to graduate with her bachelor's in 2015 and will continue on to pursue her master's and then her doctorate. Nicholas is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pedro Martinez Jr. and the wife of Anthony Nicholas, all of Cuero.
