County College of Morris in Randolph has hired 11 new full-time faculty members in the Divisions of Business, Mathematics, Engineering and Technologies; Health and Natural Sciences; and Liberal Arts. Two of the new hires started their higher education at the county college, bringing the number of former students who serve on the faculty to 13.
The new faculty members are:
— Diana Aria, South Amboy, assistant professor, psychology, has been an adjunct professor since 2009, teaching psychology at Camden County College, Brookdale Community College and Kean University. She earned her M.S. in school psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and her B.A. in psychology from Elizabethtown College. She currently is working on her doctorate in school psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
— Lee Collins, Blackwood, assistant professor, mathematics, has taught as an adjunct instructor of mathematics at Atlantic Cape Community College, Burlington County College, Camden County College, Gloucester County College and Rowan University. He also has worked as a teaching assistant, undergraduate research assistant and graduate research assistant at Rowan University. He received his M.A. and B.S. in mathematics from Rowan.
—Samantha Fuentes, Stroudsburg, Pa., instructor, biology, has taught at the college since 2011 as an adjunct professor. Prior to that, she worked on forensic casework at East Stroudsburg University as a wildlife DNA technician. Her other experience includes work as a graduate assistant for the Biology Department and Office of Multicultural Affairs at East Stroudsburg. She earned her M.S. and B.S. in biology from East Stroudsburg.
— Dr. Jason Hudzik, Great Meadows, assistant professor, chemistry, has taught at the college as an adjunct faculty member since 2007 and has served as a laboratory assistant since 2005. As a graduate of the college, Hudzik is passionate about the college and enjoys mentoring CCM students. He earned his Ph.D., M.S. and B.S. in chemistry from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and two A.S. degrees from CCM in business administration and biology.
— Dr. Loryn Keating, Chatham, assistant professor, chemistry, has taught as an adjunct professor at Union County College and Ramapo College. She was also a teaching and research assistant at the University of Maryland. She has conducted extensive research, co-authored numerous articles in scientific journals including Structural Chemistry, Journal of Biological Inorganic Chemistry and Biochemistry, and presented at national conferences in her field. She earned her Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Maryland, and her M.Ch.E. and B.S. in chemical engineering from Johns Hopkins University.
— Dr. Justyna Korczeniewska, Lake Hiawatha, assistant professor, biology, previously worked at the college from 2001-2002 as a chemistry laboratory technician, from 2004-2005 as a microbiology laboratory instructor and in 2012 as a lecturer and laboratory instructor. Her other experience includes work as a research mentor at the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) and as a teaching assistant of organic chemistry and professor’s assistant in the Biology Department at Rutgers University, Newark. In addition, she is the co-author of several articles in such research journals as Molecular Cell Biology and the Journal of Immunology. She earned her Ph.D. in biomedical sciences from UMDNJ and her B.A. in biological sciences from Rutgers University after starting her higher education at the college.
— Dr. Amanda Orenstein, Washington, associate professor, biology, has been teaching college-level biology since 1999. She taught as an adjunct professor at Saddleback Community College, Orange Coast College and the University of California, Irvine. She was an assistant and associate professor of biology from 2005-2013 and Biology Department chair from 2012-2013 at Centenary College. She earned her Ph.D. in biology from the University of California, Irvine and her B.S. in biology from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
— Gregory Slusarczyk, Wallington, assistant professor, mathematics, has been teaching at the college since 2012 as an instructor. He also has taught at Middlesex County College as an adjunct professor of mathematics. His other experience includes working as a teaching assistant at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) and as a research assistant for the Mathematics Department at Montclair State University. He is enrolled in the Ph.D. program in applied mathematics at NJIT. He earned his M.S. in pure and applied mathematics from Montclair State University, his M.S. in computer science from Fairleigh Dickinson University and his MBA in marketing and management from Rzeszow University of Technology in Poland.
— Dr. William Solomons, Monmouth Junction, assistant professor, criminal justice, has been teaching sociology and criminal justice since 2000. He has taught at Raritan Valley Community College, Middlesex County College, Kaplan University (online) and Ashford University (online). His previous experience also includes teaching forensic science at Centenary College, working as an instructor at the Somerset County Police Academy and Kent Police College and for the Methods of Instruction, a certification course for aspiring police officer instructors. He earned his Ph.D. in human services/criminal justice specialization from Capella University, M.A. in education from Seton Hall University and his B.A. in criminal justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
— Deanne Stigliano, Succasunna, instructor, mathematics, has been teaching mathematics at the college since 2011. She also teaches as an adjunct professor at Berkeley College and as a home instructor for Paramus High School. Her previous experience includes teaching calculus, trigonometry, probability and statistics, algebra and geometry at Mother Seton Regional High School. She earned her M.S. in mathematics education from Montclair State University and her B.A. in mathematics from Caldwell College.
— Mary Anne Wassel, Morris Plains, instructor, engineering, started as an adjunct faculty member at CCM in 2013 teaching dynamics and machine design courses. She also tutors students at the Huntington Learning Center. Her prior experience includes working as a teaching assistant and graduate research assistant for the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Rutgers University. She received her Master of Engineering from Rutgers and her B.S. in mechanical engineering from the College of New Jersey.
