Graduations
Emily Power, from the Monroe-Woodbury class of 2009, graduated cum laude from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a bachelor of science degree in mathematics. She received a commission as a second lieutenant in the United States Air Force and will be attending the Air Force Institute of Technology to pursue a Masters of Science in Operations Research.

Nancy Coleman of Harriman has graduated from the University of New Haven with a bachelor of arts degree in interior design.

Deans list
Bobby Leiser, a 2005 graduate of Monroe-Woodbury high school has been named to the deans list for the spring 2012 semester at Fitchburg State University in Fitchburg, Mass.

This designation is awarded to full-time students who have earned at least a 3.2 grade point average for the semester.

The following students have been named to the deans list for the spring semester at Herkimer County Community College for earning grade point averages from 3.25 to 3.8:

Lee Monroe of Highland Mills, a business major focusing on accounting.

Aysha M. Webster of Harriman, a business major with a concentration on fashion buying and merchandising.

Tricia Gunther of Monroe has earned high honors for the spring semester at the University of New Hampshire in Durham.

Highest honors are awarded to students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.7 or better out of a possible 4 .

The following students have been named to the Deans List for the spring semester at Marist College in Poughkeepsie:

Jacqueline Frey of Monroe, who is a member of the Class of 2013 and is majoring in social work.

Matthew Ruis of Monroe, who is a member of the Class of 2015 and is majoring in environmental science and policy - science emphasis.
