Loann Carey, 17, daughter of Elizabeth Carey, Juan Gonzalez is this week’s Teen of the Week.
I plan on attending the University of Texas at EI Paso or Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I haven’t decided. But I plan on majoring in psychology and minor in music education.
I am secretary for BPA. I am also apart of Student Council, Environmental Club, Girls Varsity Basketball, FCA, Honors Band, Jazz Band, and this year I am getting inducted into NHS.
Received a one in solo and ensemble freshman year, State Marching Band freshman and junior year, State BPA junior year, State Alternate BPA senior year, District! Region Participate senior year.
“First, it’s okay to be sad. It’s okay to feel things. Remember that. Second, be a kid for as long as you can. Play games, and be silly. Even when you grow up and move away, it’s important to come home.” This is advice no one gave to me. I actually read it from “Walking Disaster” by Jamie McGuire. I think it’s something every young teen should hear.
In 5 years I see myself completing college and setting out on my own. I cannot tell you where, because you never know where life will take you. I hope the plans I have now to be a children therapist follows through.
I would change the weather, so that every person with allergies and asthma would not have it as much.
I would invite Michael Jackson first, I would tell him to teach me how to moonwalk and ask him about his point of view on his whole music career. I would also invite Christopher Pike because he is one of my favorite authors of all time . I would ask him how he gets his ideas and what he thinks of his own books.
And last I would invite Jennifer Lawerance, because I think she’s an amazing actress and her interviews are always fun to watch, so I would just want to talk to her to see if she is the same as she seems in her interviews.
Favorites:
Food: Chicken Alfredo
Book: “Until the End” by Christopher Pike
Movie: The Avengers and all of the Batman movies
Town in Texas: Dallas
Vacation Spot: Yogi Bear RV Park
