Recent graduates

MILWAUKEE -- Ryan Miskulin, son of Dr. Dan and Betty Miskulin of Stetsonville, graduated May 20 from the College of Health Sciences at Marquette University in Milwaukee, summa cum laude (GPA of 3.9 or higher), with a Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical sciences and a minor in theology. He received academic achievement awards in histology and excellence in research. He has been accepted into Marquette University's School of Dentistry at Milwaukee for the fall of 2012.

FOREST GROVE, Ore. -- Dana Hoehn of Marshfield has received a Master's Degree in clinical psychology from Pacific University in Forest Grove.

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Danielle Lissner of Medford has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and neuroscience from Coe College in Cedar Rapids.

Honor students

DE PERE -- Kristin Kniech and Emily McIntee of Marshfield were named to the 2012 spring semester dean's list at St. Norbert College.

SUPERIOR -- The following local students were named to the 2012 spring dean's list at the University of Wisconsin-Superior: Connie Urmanski, Edgar; Elizabeth Smith, Greenwood; Ashley Schuh, Owen; Korey Sutton, Stratford; and Nicole Frost, Withee.

WHITEWATER -- The following local students were named to the spring 2012 dean's list at UW-Whitewater: Eric Borchardt and Jesse Fischer, Edgar; Amanda Christianson, Brittany Gratzek, Nicole Karl and Margo Lang, all of Marshfield.

SAINT BONIFACIUS, Minn. -- Joanna Johnson of Chili was named to the spring dean's list at Crown College in Saint Bonifacius.

MARQUETTE, Mich. -- Lauren Veale of Spencer was named to the dean's list at Northern Michigan University for the winter 2012 semester.

Scholarship recipients

Faryn Wirkus of Edgar was recently awarded a college scholarship worth $4,000 from National Catholic Society of Foresters, a fraternal life insurance society. Wirkus belongs to NCSF's Ave Maria Court 741 in Edgar.

Karl Ploeckelman of Stetsonville has been awarded a Foremost Farms scholarship.
