Business groups team up for to help trade across district

Decision Making and the Impact on Your Business will be the subject of guest speaker, Dr Nicola Brown at a combined meeting of Ilkley Business Forum and Burley Chamber of Trade on Wednesday.

Members of the public are invited to the talk, which takes places from 5.45pm in St Mary’s Parish Centre, Station Road, Burley-in-Wharfedale (opposite Aireville Terrace).

Dr Brown, who has a MSc in Social and Applied Psychology, University of Kent at Canterbury, and a BSc in Psychology, from the University of Plymouth will address how decisions are made and how more effective ones could be made by making better-informed choices.

Her general research interests focus on the application of psychological theory in personal and organisational contexts, with particular reference to decision making.

There will also be a presentation by Ilkley Art Trail about the forthcoming event in October.

Local businesses are also being urged to take up a free stand at the Buy Local trade event in Ilkley, on November 16, by joining Ilkley Business Forum. Stands are available to IBF members for free – available on a first come first served basis, and limited to three stands in the same sector.
