Police Chief Michael Kent is pleased to report that the Burlington Police Department hired a new officer on Monday.
Officer Ashley Daniels, of Lowell, comes to the department from the University of Massachusetts Lowell Police Department, where she’s been an officer since June 2013. Officer Daniels graduated from the Lowell Police Academy in November 2013.
She has a master’s degree in criminal justice, with a minor in psychology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and previously worked as a security officer at Fenway Park. Officer Daniels, daughter of Angela and Craig Clavette, graduated from Arlington Catholic High School in 2008.
“We know that Officer Daniels will be a great addition to this department,” Chief Kent said. “Her previous training and experience will benefit and serve the community well.”
She will complete the Burlington Police Department’s field training program over the next several weeks before she’s assigned to a shift.
