David Stout of Wall Township has been named dean of the Freehold Township campus of Brookdale Community College, President Maureen Murphy announced.

Stout, a professor and chair of the Department of Psychology and Human Services at Brookdale, has served in a variety of positions since joining the college in 1997. He assumed the role July 16.

As dean, Stout will serve as senior academic officer of Brookdale’s campus at Freehold Township, according to a press release. He will oversee the financial, administrative and operational affairs for the campus and serve as adviser to the executive vice president on policy, procedure and financial and operational issues.
