British psychologist’s Australian honour

Pauline Willis, a Chartered member of the BPS has seen work of hers selected as the Western Australian flagship project for National Psychology Week in Australia. Ms Willis, who is also a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), focused her work on promoting wellbeing in the workplace, in addition to stress management and achieving high engagement.

National Psychology Week 2012 took place between 11 and 17 November last year, with APS members across Australia delivering a Think Well Be Well message to local communities.

Ms Willis said: "Only one event from each state was selected for the highlights so it is a great honour that mine was the one chosen for Western Australia."

As part of her project, which took place at Perth Zoo and was entitled A Taste of the Good Life at Work, Ms Willis and colleagues offered tips on how to create a positive team culture, with emphasis placed on diet, exercise and meditation.
