Ben Gurion University of the Negev has begun to offer a new MA program in Educational Psychology, offered to graduates of the BA in psychology from the Haredi College of Jerusalem.

The program, which was initiated by BGU President Prof. Rivka Carmi and Rector Prof. Tzvi HaCohen and is carried out in partnership with the Haredi College of Jerusalem,  is operated as part of the Council for Higher Education’s project to expand academic training among the Haredi population.

The 11 Haredi female students who were accepted into the program for this academic year will take mandatory courses for psychology students as well as courses especially created for them such as  Educational Psychology in the Haredi Community, Foundations of Family Therapy, and Therapeutic Interview.

Students will also complete field work will be done through three educational psychology services in Jerusalem, Beit Shemesh, and Modi’in-Illit.
