Barksdale earns psychology doctorate

Timothy Barksdale of Drexel Hill, Pa., was awarded a doctor of psychology degree in clinical psychology by Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine at their graduate programs commencement ceremony on July 27 at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia.

Barksdale is the son of Wilson and Elizabeth Hagin-Derr and the late Burnes Barksdale of Aiken. He is the husband of Allison Francis Barksdale and father of Brandon James Barksdale of Drexel Hill, Pa. Barksdale earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Eastern University in 1986 and a master of arts degree in human service psychology from LaSalle University in 1995. He currently directs the homeless outreach program at the African Episcopal Church of St. Thomas.
