Dr. Richard Smoot is a clinical psychologist, working with the US military for the last 20 years. He has taught psychology at the University of Southern Mississippi, St. Leo University, as well as Wright State University. Dr. Smoot received a Psy.D. (Doctor of Psychology) degree at Wright State University in 1991 and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychopharmacology at Nova Southeastern University in 2008. He has a broad range of skills working with adults, children, families and marital issues as well as psychological and school testing. He has particular expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) treatments of depression, anxiety, panic, ADHD, smoking cessation, chronic pain and post-traumatic stress disorder.
