Anger management for Iranians

IBNA: W. Doyle Gentry, PhD, is a clinical psychologist and Director of the Institute for Anger-Free Living in Lynchburg, Virginia. He is a Fellow in the American Psychological Association and was the Founding Editor of the Journal of Behavioral Medicine. In Dr. Gentry's four-decade career as a scientist-practitioner, he has authored over 100 publications, including eight books, and is a pioneer in the fields of health psychology, behavioral medicine, and anger management. 

‘Anger Management for Dummies’ is rendered into Persian by Shima Safdari. For Dummies is an extensive series of instructional/reference books which are intended to present non-intimidating guides for readers new to the various topics covered. 

The book shares specific anger management methods, skills, and exercises that will help the readers identify the sources of their anger and release from their grip. 

It is written in 7 parts and 25 chapters. The parts includes ‘The basics of anger’, ‘Managing your anger today’, ‘Preventing anger tomorrow’, Handling anger from the past’, Lifestyle changes that improve more than your anger’, ‘Managing anger in key relationships’ and ‘The part of tens’. 

The Persian translation of ‘Anger Management for Dummies’ will be released in Iran by Hirmand in 2000 copies.
