If you're a psychologist looking to advise clients with tough situations, such as telling your parents not to drive anymore or dealing with a mentally disabled child, you may turn to Andover neuropsychologist Karen Postal's book about communicating effectively. 

Along with Woburn neuropsychologist Kira Armstrong, Postal recently co-authored Feedback That Sticks: The Art of Effectively Communicating Neuropsychological Assessment Results, published by Oxford University Press.

The book, meant for those studying neuropsychology, teaches the reader how to communicate effectively with family, friends and professional acquaintances in way to produce positive effects in their lives.

The book provides professional feedback strategies gathered from 85 neuropsychologists from areas all across the US to offer “the most compelling, accessible ways of explaining complex neuropsychological concepts.”

Postal, who runs a Neuropsychology practice on North Main Street, is currently the president of the Massachusetts Neuropsychological Society. She also lectures at Harvard Medical School where she teaches neuropsychology to postdoctorate fellows.
