MUNCIE - Amber Melissa Smith Walker, 30, of Muncie, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at her home.

She was born March 22, 1981 in Muncie to Max and Kim (Wood) Smith.

She graduated from Southside High School and from Ivy Tech with her degree in Criminal Justice. She was also attending Ball State University pursuing a degree in Psychology.

She married David Bradley Walker on September 5, 2001. Amber was a wonderful wife and mother who loved to read and who enjoyed Sudoku puzzles. Amber loved her husband and family and will be missed by all who knew her.

Amber is survived by her husband; parents; son, Clayton Bradley Walker and daughter, Lana Faith Walker; sister, Lauren Brooke Smith; father and mother-in-law, David and Becky Walker; niece, Madison Grace Smith; paternal grandmother, Barbara Gray.

Funeral services are 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie, IN 47303 with Pastor Dennis Trimble officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2011 at the funeral home.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Amber Smith Walker Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
