Agor Behavioral Health Services, Inc. is pleased to welcome Dr. Rosa LaPietra, PsyD, to the practice. She provides therapy services for adolescents and adults in both individual and group appointments.

On Therapy

Dr. Rosa LaPietra brings her calm. friendly and down-to-earth style to the practice. She has a deep respect for the troubles that everyone feels from time to time.

“It is with a deep sense of respect that I participate in the mental health of my patients,” said Dr. LaPietra. “As a psychologist, I consider it a privilege to be invited into another’s private life and help to walk with them through the difficulties of life and arrive at a place of understanding, acceptance and joy.”

Dr. LaPietra feels that mental health and relationship issues do not need to be lonely and discouraging. She believes that therapy can provide clarity and understanding while also bringing meaning and joy back into everyday living.

Experience Education

Dr. LaPietra has over 25 years of experience in the psychology field. Her work has included extensive experience with the treatment of depression, anxiety, relationship issues and abuse of all kinds. Whether it be group practice, private practice, teaching, or work with the incarcerated and  paroled, she has found courage to be the common denominator in all those who seek help. As both an Adlerian student and teacher, Dr. LaPietra likes to help her clients figure out why we do the things we do and how to turn those things into personal strengths.

Dr. LaPietra has taught graduate school and spent over 15 years supervising doctoral students. She also provides mentoring to new practitioners as well as students who are preparing to become therapists.

Dr. LaPietra completed her education at the Adler School of Professional Psychology, in 1992. She is a Diplomate with the American Board of Psychological Specialties in Sex Abuse, Substance Abuse and Clinical Psychology. She is also a Lifetime Member of the American College of Forensic Examiners.
