The bride, 38, will continue to use her name professionally. She is a psychologist with the Cobb County School District in Marietta, Ga. She graduated from the University of Florida and received a Ph.D. in school psychology from Georgia State University.

She is a daughter of Elaine J. Waldbart and Dr. Richard H. Waldbart, both of Tampa, Fla. The bride’s father is a dentist in private practice there. Her mother, a registered nurse, retired as an instructor of medical assistants at Erwin Technical Center, a vocational school in Tampa.

The bridegroom, 42, is a partner in the Atlanta law firm Kilpatrick Townsend Stockton. He graduated magna cum laude from Birmingham-Southern College. He also received a law degree from the University of Virginia.

He is a son of Curtis A. Garrett Sr. of Midfield, Ala., and the late Mary E. Garrett. The bridegroom’s father retired as an ironworker with the United States Steel Corporation in Fairfield, Ala. The bridegroom is a stepson of Donna Garrett.

The bridegroom’s first marriage ended in divorce.
