Admissions open for M.Sc Psychology in GITAM

The admissions are open for interested graduates in M.Sc Applied Psychology at GITAM University.

The university had started this programme five years ago. The objective of the course is to prepare students for a career in psychology in various applied aspects of psychology such as health and related issues, positive psychology, clinical psychology, Indian and indigenous psychology and human resource development and management.

According to Associate Professor of the department Deepa Mohan, the curriculum lays the foundation for a conceptual and analytical understanding of the applied aspects of psychology. “This course also prepares students for a research career or preparing for civil services. The syllabus has recently undergone a major reorganisation, in accordance with the UGC guidelines, incorporating choice based credit system with a varied choice of elective courses,” she said.

The basic eligibility for the course is any bachelor’s degree, except bachelor in fine arts, with a minimum of 50 per cent marks.

Workshop at ANITS

Anil Neerukonda Institute of Technology and Sciences (ANITS), organised a training programme for faculty members who are into research in coordination with J-GATE and Informatics India Limited. Principal of the college V.S.R.K. Prasad, Ravi Shankar of J-GATE, addressed the participants in the inaugural session.
