USQ helps you to stress less

A PSYCHOLOGIST from the University of Southern Queensland is on the hunt for Ipswich locals to participate in a workshop to find new techniques to help manage stress.

For more than a decade, USQ senior lecture of psychology Dr Yong Goh has been working closely with a company in Singapore to perfect the best techniques in stress management, which are currently being tested across the world.

Dr Goh now hopes to use those techniques to help people in Ipswich who might be feeling a little overwhelmed with their emotions to lead happier and healthier lives.

"I would like to put a call out for people who would be interested in finding out more about stress and how they can help alleviate these feelings by hosting a workshop right here at the university," he said.

"The workshop will consist of tools and activities to demonstrate how people can deal with stress.

"We will look at different techniques, such as improving your thought process and your behaviour."

Once enough interest is registered, a date and time will be nominated.
