Employer Event - using a psychology degree within a business career
This workshop, delivered by external speakers, is aimed at psychology students interested in finding out how to apply their degree within a business context. It will give students the opportunity to find out about possible business career paths for psychology graduates including advertising, marketing, occupational psychology and human resources.
Please note: in the event of possible unavailability of speakers, the event organisers may have to substitute speakers from career areas other than those mentioned above.

Pursuing a career in Clinical Psychology - delivered by an ex-student guest speaker
This workshop will be delivered by Trainee Clinical Psychologist Helena Tucker, who graduated from LJMU with a degree in Applied Psychology in 2010, and was also among the first students to complete LJMU’s World of Work Skills Certificate. Helena will give students advice and tips about how to increase their chances of being successful in gaining entry to the highly competitive three year training course in Clinical Psychology. She will also talk about the kind of work experience which is useful to acquire for anybody who wishes to go into a career in the clinical field. There will also be advice about finding relevant work experience and information on the work of a Clinical Psychologist.
