YELLOW SPRINGS — The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Yellow Springs will present “Integral Islam” during their 10 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 8 service.
Dr. Jalaledin Ebrahim will speak about Islam, the inspiration of the dominant global empire and ascendant world civilization for centuries. Now at the epicenter of world turbulence and turmoil, Islam is clearly a faith in crisis. As a worldview Islam inspires profound levels of devotion and mysticism, as well as the shadow of Islamophobia, sectarian strife, political extremism and bigotry.
Dr. Ebrahim holds an MA in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica (2000) and an MA in Counseling Psychology (2004) from ITP. He is a licensed marriage and family therapist. His doctorate is in Depth Psychology with an emphasis in Depth Psychotherapy from Pacifica Graduate Institute (2012). He is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology at Antioch College in Yellow Springs. All are welcome.
Religious education classes are available for youth in preschool to sixth grade, beginning at 10 a.m.
