GREENSBORO — The chief executive officer of the American Psychological Association will deliver UNCG’s spring commencement address.
Dr. Norman Anderson holds a master’s and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from UNCG.
Anderson, a Greensboro native, taught at Duke and Harvard universities and later was founding director of the National Institutes of Health Office of Behavioral and Social Science Research. For the past 11 years he has led the American Psychological Association, the world’s largest association of psychologists.
UNCG’s graduation ceremony will be May 10 at the Greensboro Coliseum. The university said it expects to award about 2,700 graduate and undergraduate degrees.
