Nora Newcombe, a James H. Glackin Distinguished Faculty Fellow and professor of psychology at Temple, was honored with the Faculty of the Game award during Saturday’s home football game against Cincinnati. Newcombe is also co-director of Temple's Infant Lab, where she has led many studies on the connection between spatial skills and children’s ability to excel in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines.
In 2008, Newcombe was elected to be a fellow of the Society of Experimental Psychologists. She has also been elected a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Psychological Society and the American Psychological Association.
