Jason Orange is reportedly considering training to become a psychologist following his departure from Take That last September.
The 44-year-old is said to be ''fascinated by the mind'' and as a result is keen to find out even more about the behaviour and mental processes.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, a source said: '''He is a great listener and is known among pals as a bit of a sensitive soul who likes to think about the big picture.''
Orange recently told Digital Spy that he left Take That on good terms with Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen.
He said: "At the end of the Progress tour I began to question whether it might be the right time for me to not continue on with Take That. At the start of this year, and with my full knowledge and blessing, the guys began writing new material.
He added: "There have been no fallings out, only a decision on my part that I no longer wish to do this."
Take That have just announced shows at Dublin's 3Arena on May 8 and 9 2015.
