The 144 people hoping to get onto the university’s psychology course were not optimistic for long however, when it was discovered that they had been given the exam papers intended for the lecturers who would grade them, and that the papers should not have been seen by the students at all.

As soon as lecturers realised what had happened, the papers were quickly recollected and the exam was cancelled.

Paul Lengenfelder of the university’s psychology department told the Austrian Press Agency that all the students have now been admitted to the university, but that they will have to be re-tested next month.
