UnYoung Gabriela Chavez-Baldini, a 2011 George Jenkins High School graduate, was recognized for having a perfect score during her years at Florida State University on her double major of psychology and sociology. On Aug. 3, she traveled to Seoul, South Korea, to take cultural classes at Yonsei University for four weeks. Chavez-Baldini wants to continue her post-graduation education in clinical psychology.

NATIONAL SOCIETY OF HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARS

Jean W. Luxama, a student at Auburndale High School; and Chase A. Tingle, a student at Lake Wales High School, were selected to become members of the National Society of High School Scholars. The society recognizes students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, scholarship and community commitment.
