This fall, SAGE Eldercare will honor Dr. Rosalind S. Dorlen at their “Supper with SAGE” event dinner. SAGE Eldercare, a major community resource for older adults, their families and caregivers, will be presenting Dorlen, a nationally-recognized local clinical psychologist, with the OWL (Outstanding Wisdom and Leadership) Award on Thursday, Oct. 24.
“Dr. Dorlen is a leading example of the type of honoree who should receive SAGE’s OWL Award,” noted Julie Reich, acting executive director of SAGE Eldercare, 290 Broad St., Summit. “She is an activist and innovator of programs to improve the psychological health of adults, youth, older adults, families and communities and she has been an advocate for helping older adults and their caregivers meet the challenges of aging.”
For more than 40 years, Dorlen has had a gratifying career as a clinical psychologist, state and national leader in professional psychology. She is Board Certified in Clinical Psychology and a Fellow of the Academy of Clinical Psychology and the American Psychological Association. She is in full-time, private practice in Summit, specializing in the treatment of adolescents, adults, couples and the elderly with a special interest in psychological issues associated with chronic illness.
For nearly sixty years, SAGE Eldercare has served as a community resource in the delivery of programs and services for older adults and their caregivers, providing them with the ability to remain independent and living in their own homes with dignity and grace.
SAGE Eldercare cordially invites donors, friends, and supporters to attend supper with SAGE and honor Dorlen. Tickets will include a cocktail reception, open bar, a sit-down dinner, and a silent auction at The Crystal Plaza in Livingston.
