IBNA: A total of 5957 works were submitted to the secretariat of the 20th Book of the Season Award. The award receives the books in 11 groups.
According to the statistics released by the award's secretariat, the group of religion received 1025 works, 1024 works were sent to the group of practical science. The other works were sent to other fields including generalities, philosophy and psychology, social science, language, philosophy and psychology, pure science, children and adolescents, arts and literature.

Book of the Season Award is an award which is held at the end of each season evaluating books which were printed through the season for the firs time. The award praises the authors of best books.
The book of the Season Award is held in order to support top books and authors as well as encouraging writers, translators and editors, promoting the Islamic society's knowledge and culture and developing the culture of reading.
The 20th Book of the Season Award will be held on June 19 in Sanandaj. Following the 19th edition which was held in Shiraz, this is the 2nd edition which will be held in a city other than Tehran.
