Monday, 10th March, 2014 Arsene Wenger believes that psychology may work against Bayern Munich when they meet his Arsenal side tomorrow, even if they are keen for it not to.
Bayern Munich won the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 clash between the two at the Emirates Stadium 2-0, putting one foot in the quarter-finals in the process.
Now Arsenal have to overturn the deficit at the Allianz Arena, though are boosted by having won there 2-0 last year, even if Bayern Munich ended up prevailing on away goals.
"It's funny because the same result would get us to extra time and we have a strong start there and surprised them at the start, so that would be the ideal run this time", Wenger told Arsenal's official site.
"They will say themselves lets be on our toes, a bit more than they were last year.
"But in the Champions League you always have the psychological problem and somewhere they think they have done the biggest part of the job and you cannot stop that going into your mind."
Wenger also believes that Arsenal head to Germany with everything to gain and nothing to lose, with Bayern Munich firm favourites to progress.
"On our side we go there with nothing to lose and with a huge desire to do well", the Gunners boss added.
