OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — The science of fear and risk is the focus of the next Omaha Science Caf.
The speaker will be Joseph Brown, a professor of psychology at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He'll discuss how people assess risks.
The program is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Slowdown, 729 N. 14th St. Pizza will be provided by The Nebraska Coalition for Lifesaving Cures for the first 50 people.
This Science Caf is presented by The Durham Museum in conjunction with its latest exhibit, "Goose Bumps! The Science of Fear."
Science Cafs involve a face-to-face conversation with a scientist about current science topics. They are open to people 21 and older.
