The Northwest Assistance Ministries endowment fund board's spring event will take place at 6 p.m. April 24 at Champions Golf Club.
The event is titled "An Evening with David Cook." Cook is the author of "Golf's Sacred Journey: Seven Days at the Links of Utopia." He is also the former director of applied sport and performance psychology at the University of Kansas, where his peers elected him president of the National Sports Psychology Academy in 1992.
Cook is now one of the country's top peak performance coaches and seminar leaders. His clients include Exxon/Mobil, Sprint, HP, Texas Instruments and American Express. Golf Digest recently named him one of the Top 10 Mental Game Experts in the world of golf.
His novel follows the story of Luke Chisolm, a talented young golfer set on making the professional tour.
